  • I made it back safely last night and didn't have any particular trouble with the flights home.  Redeemer Presbyterian and the visit with my friends in Manhattan was a blessing.  Attached is a pic that someone snapped for me what the room was like while leading worship.  These don't capture how active and engaged everyone was with the singing time (perhaps these were shot between verses!).

  • I'm about the depart from a downtown Salzburg flat for the airport.  On Thursday we had a sweet time of worship in the morning, then I took a train to Kragenfurt to get a car, which I needed to get to Kaprun yesterday for my "adventure" day.  I got back in time for my work "day," which was thankfully flexible and not very full of meetings.

At one of the times of worship we sang the old praise song "I Love You, Lord," and after singing it in English someone spontaneously started singing it in French and a surprising number joined in.  It was a very nice moment for me to be led by them since e...

  • It is Wednesday evening and I have just finished my “work day” (I’m still working during American working hours, so until midnight or 1 am here).  It has been a joy to get to know some of these missionaries better and be encouraged by their faith, love, and zeal for the Lord.  Some of you asked for more info about who they are.  Gathered here are about 40 country or region directors within SIM, an organization that has 2,000 or so full-time missionaries.  Everyone here has almost 20+ years of experience and while I’m not the youngest one here, the youngest is 38.  So there is maturity, wisdom,...

  • It is Monday morning in Millstat, Austria. Yesterday (really the last two days) were a blur of International travel. On Friday evening I made it to NYC and stayed in Manhattan, then Saturday morning left early for the airport and headed for Salzburg, Austria through Istanbul because I took Turkish Airlines.  I got quite ill on the plane and the most likely cause was dehydration, though I did drink water beforehand and have never experienced that before.  I lost consciousness in my seat for a while after blacking out, and then it took a while to regain my strength.  One thing that the Lord did ...

  • So, London. Wow, talk about blindly hitting the bulls eye! I had just been on a mission trip to Guatemala a few weeks before my London trip, seeking an education in evangelism but finding my compassion as a result. I really had no idea what God was going to do through me in the UK. I was expecting and prepared to lead worship but my thought was that God would probably have a lot more for me to do in London. I was right.

I got to stay  in West London. I had to do most of my travelling within London on my own via the bus, which I loved. My first official London mission trip experience was Yout...
