KENYA & CHILE 2014….
Nairobi, Kenya–January 18-27, 2014: For the 5th consecutive year, the World Music Mission will reside at Brackenhurst Conference Centre (www.brackenhurst.com) for a week of worship with the missionaries of SIMSudan. They base in Nairobi (for logistical reasons) as Sudan has transformed (and continues to transform) into two distinct nations. The roughly 80 missionaries serve in and across Sudan. They serve as doctors, nurses, linguists, engineers, evangelists, technicians, business developers, and pilots. The WMM team of musicians and childcare workers prays that Jesus will be lifted up to draw all men to himself as they re-invigorate the people of God serving in Sudan. This conference is a weeklong conference. The need is for a worship band to play three times per day and children’s ministry personnel to love and care for the missionary children. 2012 & 2013’s team were also blessed to play at a local Kenyan church. The approximate cost of $2,600/person includes airfare, room/board and half-day safari – but does not include passport or immunizations. The Kick Off meeting will be August 18, 2013 at Christ Community Church in Franklin, TN. For more information contact Joal Devendorf at email@example.com 615-477-3525. Quillota, Chile–February 15-24, 2014: The World Music Mission has been invited to lead up to 120 musicians in songwriting and worship leading. World Harvest Mission leads a number of ministries in Chile one of which is a Pastor’s Conference. It has been nearly 20 years since all the musicians involved have been able to get together. The request and vision is to spend the week leading native-cultured songwriting breakouts and by week’s end, begin the recording process to be able to distribute the new songs to be used in worship around Chile. The desired team would consist of intrumentalists and worship leaders who write songs and could facilitate the project. Sound and recording technician(s) would also be a plus. Lastly, a conversational speaking ability in Spanish would be helpful. Approximate cost for the trip is $2,800 per person. For more info contact Joal Devendorf firstname.lastname@example.org 615-477-3525. The Kick Off Meeting will be in mid-September 2013.
